It is time to prepare the online F3A championship, spring. Send us the flight log file for showing off your control ability.

  • Application of online F3A Championship
    Players Qualifications : None
    Type of airplane : Fixed wing aircraft (gyro stabilized and auto flights are not permitted)
    F3A aerobatics : P-23

  • Order of competition
    1. Sign up
      Each player shall practice, perform NSRCA P-23 aerobatics (attachment) and submit their best performance run to protonrc@gmail.com as a ‘json’ file by March 30th.
      To display the flight area in the screen, it must be registered FIRST at http://www.flightcoach.org/fcmap/
      Submit the json file and let us know below.
      Your name (nickname*) : ex) John Kim (Flesh Gordon)
      Nationality : ex) U.S.A.
      Plane : ex) BJ Prologue
      • We will report the ranking with nicknames.
    2. Log file submission
      Log files are renamed to their player number and sent back with the file to confirm in order they were received.
      Through this process, all files submitted before end of Jan. Apr. Jul. and Oct. will be distributed to every player for evaluation.
    3. Evaluation
      The judges (players) shall evaluate every aerobatics then mark them on the attached Excel sheet and send them to protonrc@gmail.com.
    4. Result announcement
      Scores and winners are announced based on the collected excel sheet. The first to 20th places shall be shown in their nicknames.
      *Precaution : Online competitions have no way of restricting the players from using unauthorized devices and methods such as gyros, FC, and etc. Please consider that the goal of this competition
      is to improve and lower the required participation skill for everyone. Thus, please do not use prohibited devices and submit your OWN record.
  • Online F3A Evaluation.
    Since the Online F3A do not have separate judges it is crucial that each and every player acknowledge the standards and rules set up by the NSRCA and host to have a successful competition.
    The rules applied to the aerobatics are as follows:
    1. Geometrical accuracy, (how recognizable the aerobatics are)
    2. Constant Flying Speed, (how consistent the flying speeds are throughout the entire aerobatics)
    3. Correct Positioning within the Maneuvering Zone, (how well the aerobatics are performed within the set area boundaries)
    4. Size Matching to the Size of the Maneuvering Zone, (how well fitting the size of aerobatics are to the size of the set area)
      *The maneuvering are is displayed as a rectangle in Front View, Green in Top View, and Yellow Zone.

  • Scoring procedure
    In the scoring sheet, select the participant tab on the bottom then mark from 0 to 10 in the BLUE cell next to the maneuver name. (Total score = KF * score)
    "The online competition require the flights to be recorded by each pilot. Flights can be recorded using a flight data recorder of pilot's choice. The log must be compatible with the Ardupilot .BIN log file as required by the FlightCoach software. FlightCoach software has been provided courtesy of FLightCoach.org."
