ところで Quora というコミュニティを知っている？そこに投稿されている日本に住むある外人（多分アメリカ人）からの日本についての記述はずばり的を得ていると思う。

Everything works, everything is safe, and everything is done efficiently, but the country is in many ways run like an ant colony, where people are under enormous pressure to keep everything functioning smoothly, and as the proverb goes “the nail that sticks out is hammered down”.
